Belonging, Empathy, Acceptance, Connectedness, Opportunity, and Negotiation (BEACON) is a rubric developed by Dr. Suzette Garay to serve as a framework for curriculum revision in Interpreter Education Programs. The thrust of a BEACON-inspired curriculum is to invest in long-term relationships with diverse h/Hearing and Deaf consumers. Videos in this series are interpreted conversations on topics of relevance to social change, individual growth, and a sustainable future.
